Special Interest Group

Special Interest Group are groups of people who have an interest in a specific hardware or software area. They usually meet monthly under the direction of a SIG leader who is a member of the Las Vegas PC Users Group.

SIGs are open to the public and generally involve in all levels of expertise. All that is required to participate is an interest in the subject area . The role of the SIG leader is to coordinate group functions and do not have to be experts in the SIG subject area.

SIG meetings are held on weekdays and weekends. Current Schedules are subject for changes so be sure to confirm the time and place with SIG leaders.

For additional information or to discuss your interest in forming a SIG, send an e-mail to Judy Ruf, SIG Cordinator..

The Microsoft Office SIG centers around discussion of Office, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Express, and Publisher.

Office 2000 is demonstrated, but the information also applies to Office 97 and Windows XP. This is an open forum, so if you run across a problem that you need help with, bring in a CD or diskette, and the entire group will assist in finding a solution to the problem.

Each meeting will center around a specific feature of a particular program of the Office Suite. Any related programs or add-ins will also be explored. Tools and texts that are available will also be introduced.

Many of the SIGs do not meet in November or December because of the holidays.
The SIGs are one of your benefits as a member of Las Vegas PC Users Group !
